It is with a heavy heart that Shine Solar LLC announces it will be closing its doors after nearly a decade of service in the solar energy industry. Since our founding in 2016, we have been privileged to serve thousands of homeowners, employ hundreds of dedicated professionals and contribute to the growth of renewable energy in our communities. 

Over the past nine years, Shine Solar has installed solar energy solutions for over 9,000 homeowners, helping them reduce energy costs and transition to clean, renewable power. Along the way, we have built a strong team of professionals who have been instrumental in delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions. We are deeply grateful for the trust our customers have placed in us and for the hard work and dedication of our hundreds of employees over the years. 

Nick Gorden, Shine Solar’s CEO, remarked, 
“Unfortunately, sustained high-interest rates over the last two years has created an overcast economy and significant decrease in customer demand that makes it impossible for Shine to continue in its current form. I’m forever grateful for all of our customers and employees that were a part of the Shine story over the last 9-years.” 

As we begin the process of winding down operations, our top priority remains the ongoing needs of our customers. We have been working closely with a network of approved solar vendors and expect a seamless transition for our customers' solar service and support needs. This transition plan is intended to provide continued care and expertise through qualified solar professionals, and we expect to continue to work with these providers to facilitate the process. 

We understand that customers may have questions about what this means for their solar systems and ongoing support. In the coming weeks, we intend to provide additional information to guide our customers through this transition in the most responsible manner possible.
